Admissions

In Year Transfers

An in-year admission is when a child needs an immediate school place outside of the usual transfer times. In year applications can be made at any time. Please note however that applications will not be processed more than four weeks in advance of when the place is needed.

Before applying please contact the school office to make an appointment to visit our school and meet with our Head Teacher.

You can apply online at www.hants.gov.uk/admissions where you will also find full information and guidance on the application process for in-year admissions.

Year R and Starting School September 2025

Starting School September 2025
The admissions process for Year R in September is underway and we look forward to welcoming our new children and families.
At Manor Field Infant School we believe that the transition from pre-school to school is an ongoing process, and offer several opportunities for both children and parents to get to know us as we get to know you.
During the summer term our Foundation Stage Team will visit the local pre-schools and talk to their staff about your children, their needs and their interests. They will meet your children and play alongside them.
We hold a New Parent's Evening, which gives adults an opportunity to talk, and offer Stay and Play sessions for you to attend with your child. We will also provide a transition book, with plenty of photographs, to help to familiarise your child with their new environment.
Key dates:
Wednesday 4 June - New Parent's Evening
Monday 30 June - Stay and Play
Tuesday 1 July - Stay and Play
Thursday 10 July - Stay and Play
Home visits will take place on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 September, the focus is to build relationships and provide a 1:1 opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have with the staff who will be directly working with your child.
All the children in Foundation Stage will all start full time on Monday 8 September 2025.
If you haven't yet applied for a place in September please apply online by clicking here
