Schools are required to publish the following attainment information. This is based on the performance of children in Year 6 which is their final year of primary school. Children in Year 6 sit national tests in Reading, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar and Maths. Their teachers make an assessment of their writing ability. 

 

Reading

77% of children in Year 6 met the expected standard in reading in 2025

31% of children in Year 6 met the threshold for working at the higher standard in reading in 2025

The average scaled score for the reading test was 105.8

Scaled scores are calculated from the raw test marks and are between 80 and 120. A scaled score of 100 is considered the expected standard and a score of 110 or greater is considered to be the higher standard. 

Writing

82% of children in Year 6 met the expected standard in writing in 2025

18% of children in Year 6 met the threshold for working at the higher standard in writing in 2025

Maths

77% of children in Year 6 met the expected standard in maths in 2025

33% of children in Year 6 met the threshold for working at the higher standard in maths in 2025

The average scaled score for the Reading test was 105.2
